Membership Matters
Membership Matters is a class we offer that covers the biblical foundations of local church membership along with what it means to be a member specifically at King’s Cross Church. We want everyone to know both the expectations and benefits before making a decision to join King’s Cross Church.
We define local church membership as an intimate fellowship between God and his people for the purpose of his mission in our church. It’s about being partnered together, as a local church, for the sake of Christ and his gospel in our communities. We find this partnership in Philippians 1:3-5:
“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.”
Just as Paul was joyful in his gospel partnership with the church in Philippi, we desire the same for members at KXC. As a member you are committing yourself to other believers at KXC. It involves a deep level of relationship with one another. The pastoral and leadership teams of KXC also commit to care and serve members in various ways.
